It is with a heavy, sad heart that we have to inform our members of the passing of one of our key volunteers, Margaret Davey. She passed away on Thursday 17th December 2020 after a short illness.
Margaret was an integral part of Lions Ski Club. She was the smiley chatty person who greeted you on a Sunday morning, trying to raise a smile from the sleepy kids and adults, and ever present collecting subs and welcoming everyone at Monday evening race training.
Margaret has been an important part of the Club over many years. She attended on Sundays and Monday nights as the “taxi driver” for her daughter Sarah and grandchildren Nathan and Charlotte. She then volunteered to help out on Lions reception and any other club events such as the Christmas party and club races. It wasn’t long before she was keeping the ship afloat!
She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. The mention of her name will bring a smile to our faces as we remember all the great times, the fun and chat she brought to the club.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and pets at this time.
R.I.P. Margaret.
Happy New Year to everyone! ![]()
We will see you in 2021 when restrictions allow of course!
Hi Everyone. Well today would probably have been our Christmas party at Snozone. 🎅🥲 I thought a picture from a prior year appropriate. Miss you all and cannot wait to return to normal training sometime next year. Have fun and keep safe. Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas 🎅🤶🧑🎄 ⛷⛷ John
